Leucocytes, platelets, erythrocytes, nanoerythrocytes, hepatocytes, and fibroblasts etc. have been proposed as cellular carrier systems. Among these, the erythrocytes have been the most investigated and have found to possess greater potential in drug delivery. Erythrocytes, conjointly referred to as red blood cells, and are extensively studied for his or her potential carrier capabilities for the delivery of medicine. The biocompatibility, nonpathogenicity, non-immunogenicity and biodegradability create them distinctive and helpful carriers. Carrier erythrocytes are prepared by collecting erythrocytes from plasma. By using varied ways that, the cells square measure broken and therefore the drug is entrapped into the erythrocytes, finally {they square measure resealed and therefore the resultant carriers are then known as "resealed erythrocytes". So many medications like salicylate, steroid, cancer drug which having many side effects are reduce by resealed erythrocyte. Current review highlights isolation, drug loading ways, analysis ways and applications of resealed erythrocytes.
